WIK Child Safety Standards
Effective date: September 15, 2026
Last updated: September 15, 2026
WIK is a learning and community platform. These standards explain how WIK works to prevent and address child sexual abuse and exploitation (“CSAE”) and child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”) across the WIK mobile application, websites and related services.
WIK has zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM. These standards apply to every WIK user, account, public post, comment, profile, message, uploaded file, audio or video submission, report and other use of the service.
1. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to use WIK. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age or permission from a parent or legal guardian, that higher age or permission requirement applies. WIK is not directed to children under 13.
An age limit does not reduce our commitment to child safety. We investigate credible child-safety concerns involving any person or content on WIK.
2. Prohibited conduct and content
You must not use WIK to create, upload, request, send, store, promote or facilitate:
- any visual, audio, written, computer-generated or other depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct;
- grooming or building trust with a child for sexual abuse, exploitation or other sexual purposes;
- sextortion, sexual blackmail, or threats to obtain money, sexual content or sexual activity from a child;
- sexualizing a child, soliciting sexual content from a child, or encouraging a child to create or share sexual imagery;
- trafficking or attempting to traffic a child for sexual purposes;
- identifying, advertising, linking to, trading or providing instructions for obtaining CSAM; or
- otherwise sexually abusing, exploiting, threatening or endangering a child.
Attempts, coded requests, links and off-platform arrangements intended to facilitate this conduct are also prohibited. A user may not claim that such conduct is acceptable because it is fictional, private, consensual or generated by technology.
3. How to report a concern
Use WIK's in-app reporting controls available on supported content, profiles and AI responses, or open Settings > Report a problem. You may also contact our child-safety team at contact@wiklearn.com. Reports should include enough information for us to identify the account, content or interaction, such as a username, content link and approximate date or time.
Do not download, copy, forward or redistribute suspected CSAM in order to report it. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate law-enforcement authority first.
4. How WIK responds
When WIK obtains actual knowledge of apparent CSAM or receives a credible CSAE report, we may take steps appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law, including:
- reviewing and prioritizing the report;
- removing or restricting access to prohibited content;
- limiting features or suspending or terminating involved accounts;
- preserving relevant records when required or permitted for safety, investigation or legal compliance;
- reporting apparent CSAM or child exploitation to the appropriate competent authorities or designated child-protection organizations when required by applicable law; and
- cooperating with lawful requests from authorized authorities.
We may act without prior notice when notice could increase risk, compromise an investigation, expose illegal material or conflict with law. We do not require a criminal conviction before enforcing these standards or the WIK Terms of Service.
5. Compliance and cooperation
WIK intends to operate in accordance with applicable child-safety laws, including applicable duties to remove, preserve and report apparent CSAM. We review our procedures as the service, risks and legal requirements change.
WIK may work with appropriately authorized law-enforcement agencies, regulators, hotlines and child-protection organizations. We respond to valid legal requests in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
6. Privacy and protection of reporters
We limit the use of information submitted in a child-safety report to reviewing the concern, protecting users, enforcing our rules, improving safety, complying with law and establishing or defending legal claims. We do not promise anonymity where disclosure is required by law, but we do not disclose a reporter's identity to the reported user merely because a report was made.
7. Enforcement and appeals
Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension or permanent account termination. Where an appeal is available, follow the appeal instructions provided with the enforcement notice or contact contact@wiklearn.com. We may restrict appeal information when necessary to protect a child, reporter or investigation or to comply with law.
8. Related policies
These standards supplement the Terms of Service. If these standards conflict with applicable law, the law controls.
